Island Games 2001 Website goes Online
Thursday March 4 saw our Web site coming on line to provide regularly updated information about the 9th Games being held in the Isle of Man from July 7th to July 13th 2001 The site can be found at: www.islandgames.org.im. The site is being sponsored by local IT company Datacentre and will be managed by Datacentre Home Computer Sales Executive Sean Kelly and the Results Co-ordinator for the 2001 Games, John Christal. Sean and John have put the basic framework for the site in place and aim to have a steady development of its content with plenty of essential information and background items of interest.
The home page incorporates the logo adopted for the 2001 Games, an outline map of the Isle of Man, hot links to the 6 main sections of the site, and a Games countdown clock - from March 4th there are 855 days remaining before the opening ceremony.
