New Facilities - Albany Tennis Club

The Tennis Championships in this year's Games will be contested at tow venues; Albany Tennis Club ( Men's ) and Kensington Road ( Ladies ). Albany's 3 outdoor tennis courts were resurfaced and lined during the summer and are in A1 condition. To complement this work, Albany's plans to have a new clubhouse built have come to fruition. The plans for the building have been on the drawing board for a number of years, and now with support from the Clubs' members and the Isle of Man Sports Council, the clubhouse is nearing completion. The facilites now provided include new changing rooms and showers, a large social area with balcony viewing onto the outdoor courts, and a purpose built administration office. There is also a viewing area on the 1st floor looking into the indoor court, providing seats for over 50 people.
